Sleeping on the ground can be very uncomfortable. It can be cold, hard, wet, lumpy and generally miserable. A good camp bed can get you up off of the ground and give you a place to store those less than period looking items that are a fact of everyday life in the modern world.

  • Tested to handle well in excess of 1000 lbs for extended periods - Handles large loads to allow more than two people without breaking. Kids can crawl into bed with Mom and Dad without fear of bed breaking. 
 
  • Inner rails for slats glued and screwed into place to prevent breakage or cracking. 
 
  • Ropes on rope beds are only 4 inches apart - This reduces stretching by spreading the load over more ropes thereby requiring less retightening.

This bed is built to last and handle even the stoutest of people. Constructed of 4x4 posts with 2x6 rails and head and footboards , these bed frames are  SOLID. 1 inch hardwood pegs hold the frame together. New to this design is that all beds include 10 1/2 inch headboards at no extra charge. Photos will be coming soon. These have been selling faster than I can take a picture of them.

Queen Canopy Slat bed

     Canopy beds have been used throughout much of history and for very good reason. Not only do they lend beauty and additional privacy to a bedroom, they are also functional as well. The canopy can be used to keep heat in on those cold winter nights, or insects out on those hot summer ones.  They also provide the occupants with the security of knowing that with dark curtains a late night rendezvous will not become entertainment and allow the owner to sleep in by blocking out the early morning sun. This is especially important following the aforementioned rendezvous or a late night at a bardic circle or another revel.

     This canopy bed is built for serious use. Both elegant and beautiful, this bed frame has posts that are over 3 inches thick and rails that are over 5 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches thick. Held together with 1 inch wooden pegs on the rails and 3/4 inch pegs in the canopy, this bed is built to last while still being easy to transport.
